Catholic Church ready to work, cooperate with Marcos administration

Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Charles John Brown on Monday said that the Catholic Church in the Philippines is ready to cooperate with the incoming Marcos administration.,The nuncio said in a radio interview that it had a positive discussion with President-elect Bongbong Marcos to strengthen the relationship between the church and the government.,,“We had a very productive, encouraging, and positive discussion and the president-elect assured me of his desire to collaborate, cooperate closely with the church and Holy See,” Brown said.,The nuncio was one of five foreign dignitaries who had a courtesy call with Marcos last 10 June.,The Catholic Church assured that they will continue to coordinate with the government for the betterment of every Filipino.,,Caritas Philippines National Director Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo said the organization would collaborate with the incoming administration on a program that addresses people’s rights and dignity while also promoting truth and honest governance.,Church prayers under President-elect Marcos Jr.’s administration are centered on justice and safeguarding the dignity of the people.,
