Defending champion Arellano University came back from a set down to beat San Beda University, 27-29, 25-19, 25-21, 25-15, for its second straight win in the NCAA Season 97 women’s volleyball tournament at the Paco Arena in Manila on Tuesday afternoon.,The Lady Chiefs remain unbeaten to occupy the top spot early.,Head coach Obet Javier admitted that his wards started off cold but were able to respond positively to the challenge.,“Everyone felt off. It’s a good thing we made it work and if I wasn’t able to make some crucial changes, the result might have been different,” Javier said.,Trina Marice Abay led the Lady Chiefs with 15 points built on 12 attacks and three kill blocks.,Kristine Clare Adante had seven markers to go with her 21 excellent sets while Alliah Grace Daisog tallied 16 excellent digs for Arellano U.,The Lady Spikers dropped to 0-2 record.,Patricia Mae Mañalac led San Beda with 14 points, Patricia Ysabel Cenzon had 15 excellent sets while Justine Marie Buno chalked up 15 digs and 15 receptions.
