House allows full capacity for Marcos’ first SoNA

The House of Representatives has authorized full capacity for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos’ first State of the Nation Address (SoNA) on 25 July amid the pandemic House Secretary-General Mark Llandro Mendoza confirmed.,Roughly 1,200 people will be allowed entry to Congress including 300 congress members, 24 senators, and members of the diplomatic corps.,The gallery will only be open to a small group of guests and the press.,On Tuesday, 5 July, the Department of Health reported 832 additional Covid-19 cases, bringing the total infections to 3,710,145.,Active cases stand at 10,032, a slight decrease from the recorded 10,094 on Monday.,Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has started security preparations in Batasang Pambansa.,PNP Director for Operations Police Major General Valeriano de Leon said they are now reviewing the security arrangements from prior SoNA to enhance security measures.,“We want to come up with a good template, a good security plan that we will present to our PNP officer-in-charge Police Lieutenant General Vicente Danao Jr. for review and approval,” De Leon said.
